what is pixel aspect ratio in lightwave.. let say if i used higher than 1.0 (default setting) what will happend.. did it make my animation more sharp..will it effected my rendering time. top
Yes, there are some differences modelling a car or a motorbike. The modelling techniques are the same (polymodelling, splines…) but in my experience, I think is more hard create a motorbike as you have to work a lot of time with less references in a 3d viewport (perspective).

Forgot to ask you, What is the difference between the cd tutorial and the downloadable one? top
There is no difference between the cd tutorial and the downloadable one.

Are the tutorial and models appropiate for an eleven tear old! top
About your question I think that depends of the child. The tutorials are made step by step so should not have problems to follow it, but maybe 11 years old is an early age to start 3D modeling to some childs. Anyway the decision is yours.

How do you know where to place the splines when modelling yourself ? top
To model an accurate 3D object you need some references. If it’s possible, is a great idea place some blueprints in the scene to help you placing splines. This is explained step by step in our 3D modeling tutorials.

How do you publish your renders. I have uploaded some pictures but they are not released. top
People are allowed to upload their images, but for space reasons in the server the images are revised and only are published the best images.

i'm kind of new in this matter and i am about to buy a computer, mi actual circumstances force me into buying a lap top, i know there no good for this but, I wanted to ask, your opinion about what should I buy, I have aprox $1,500 top
First of all, you have to think what will you do with your PC. Is it for playing games or 3D modeling? Supposing your answer is 3D, you need RAM, at least 2 GB, a nice processor and a good 3D Graphic Card.

are they video tutorials with someone actually showing us what to do and we can follow along in real time? or are the tutorials like pdf format and we have to read the instructions? top
All our 3D courses are in .htm format (as an .PDF) are explained step by step with great detail. Maybe in a video tutorial you can see the operations in real time, but for complex models are difficult to follow and to learn, we think .htm format is better.

You could use any version of 3dsmax to follow our step by step 3D courses. We don’t use plug ins so you will not have problems.

I have interests in buying some tutorials, but my question is. Are those classes, or can you do it at your own leisure time? Are those estimated lesson days the course days? and when I order for online download? top

i use rhino 3.0 i am interested in purchasing your audi tt tutorial but would like to know if your tutorial comes in rhino 3d. sincerely, top
I'm sorry, but I think there are no other sites as www.tutorials3d.com offering step by step tutorials in Rhino. Our 3D courses are explained with great detail to be easy to follow to complete beginners, so if you decide learn 3dsmax this is your site.

Hi, I have a qestion about the purchase. I bought one of the tutorials from the website, but I am still not getting any response from you, and I could not download it. When can I get it ? Best Regards, nobu, top
You are totally right!!. Due to some problems in the payment notification system we confirm the payments manually and for that reason we have some small delays. We really sorry the delay. The tutorials3d.com tema.

Is your latest tutorial a good starting point for a beginner? I'm very interested but I'm not sure if the tutorial may be too much. top
If you have the basic knowledge of 3dsmax (where are the tools and commands...) you can start with a complex tutorial. All our 3D courses are very detailed and explained step by step so you shouldn't have problems to follow it. Remember that we have some free tutorials to help the beginners.

Hi, Just wanted to ask can i follow this tutorial easily in Cinema 4d, or if not if i get 3ds max can I then export it into Cinema 4d? With this tutorial do you build the underside of the car and does the car doors and Boot work? top
About your question, our 3D courses are made with 3dsmax but some customers had bought the tutorials and made it with other software such as Lightwave or Maya as the modeling techniques are very similar. In the case you use 3dsmax you can export the meshes easily to .3ds (without modifiers) and then import it in Cinema 4D and apply the smooth modifiers.

How do you open doors and things on models? How do you turn the wheels and do all that fancy stuff so you can take screenshots? top
Well, create complex models is hard and product of good skills and experience. It’s impossible to explain here in 2 lines “how to” create doors or other accessories of the cars, that’s the reason we created the tutorials3d.com project. Our tutorials are explained step by step and with a great level of detail. Beginners can follow without problems the lessons and more experimented modellers can increase their skills. Here is the link with our 3D courses: http://www.tutorials3d.com/eng/tut_index.asp

Do u sell in Europe also? Where can i find price table in euros? Best Regards top
We also sell our tutorials in Europe (we are a company from Spain), and to change the prices to euros you have the option in the page (for example, once the items are in the shopping cart, you can change the currency).

You have 3 different car tutorials. Why is some of the car tutorials more exspensive than others. Example: The Audi tutorial is more expensive in price then the Mini Tutorial. Will I learn more from the Audi tutorial ? top
About your question, the Mini is a very good choice to start modeling cars. Is an easy model ideal to learn how to model a car but of course, the Audi TT is a more complex car with more details (and more lessons) and you’ll learn more with this tutorial. The Nissan is a good middle point, a nice sport model more difficult to model than the Mini but with a great interior and details.

about your question of the character modeling tutorials, just comment you that we have 2 tutorials that cover this topic: - Alien character (a nice example of 3D organic modeling techniques, it includes texturing using materials assigned by ID) http://www.tutorials3d.com/eng/tut_chapters.asp?tut_id=11 - Battle Droid (a very simple model with the most important parts of the characters modeling) http://www.tutorials3d.com/eng/tut_chapters.asp?tut_id=4
